DATA CENTER
CTDMS: THE SERVICE is presented in the
A.S.P. formula and it’s administrated by the GM Servizi Data Center, which owns specialized structures, managing procedures and personnel.
The Data Center is permanently connected to the Internet and guarantees Customer satisfaction in terms of service standards.

Architecture
and access to a C.R.N.M.S. like CTDMS

MAIN SERVERS
CTDMS resides on main
servers easily reached by users through an Internet
connection.
The servers, in their different configurations as
Application Server, DataBase Server and Web Server,
are respectively responsible
for data elaboration, data storage and data
presentation to the users.
Reliability and performance features of the servers
grant a high standard of service, able to match all
customer’s requests.

WORKSTATIONS
The users may access the
platform using any personal computer with an
internet connection as their workstation.
CTDMS’s main feature is to
gather on the Main Servers all data elaborations,
while the peripheral stations keep only presentation
functions for the program interface (HTML
pages/modules).
Therefore, the only requisite for the workstation is
a configuration supporting a common Internet browser
(Microsoft Internet Explorer® 5 or sup. preferred).

INTERNET CONNECTIONS
A common internet connection is
enough to access the main system.
Obviously features and performance (Internet
connection speed) of the technical structures used
to reach the system have some influence on the
efficiency of the data exchange between the users
and the main servers.
It’s important to underline, however, that using
C.R.N.M.S. CTDMS generally does not imply data
transfers of images or huge multimedia contents.

IMPLEMENTATION
Traditional management software
systems required a usage license agreement and the
consequent installation on technical structures
owned by the customer. Briefly said, the management
system was acquired as a software package, likely
with a certain maintenance service.
Thanks to the A.S.P.
(Application Service Provisioning)
formula, CTDMS provides also a complete technical
management of the system by the GM Servizi Data
Center, giving in outsource to the Customer all the
C.R.N.M.S features.
This is a more modern and practical solution: the
Customer may employ a service running on high
specialized structures, without any money loss to
acquire and manage structures and internal services.
